Jesus the Light of the Word
Einstein's dual (wave-particle) theory of natural light is analogous to the Christian concept of God, the True Light, also dual in nature (Spirit-matter). "God is Spirit" (John 4:24). Analogous to the wave nature of Light, you cannot see the wave of light. Neither can you see the Spirit of God because it is Spirit. "No one has seen God at any time" (John 1:18).
That Light, the True Light, the Spirit of God, is analogous to the Wave of natural Light which could not be seen. But now it could be seen, analogous to the particle of natural light, when God sent his Son, of whom John speaks, as the incarnate Word (Spirit) (particle). Then John said of him: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). The Word (could not be seen) analogous to the wave of natural light. And he said again: "And that Word (Spirit, was not seen), became flesh (particle, was seen) and dwelt among us, and we saw his Glory, as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." ( 14).
Six hundred years before Jesus Christ (600 B.C.), the Prophet Isaiah prophesied that the true Light (God) would come into this world and (become visible) to all when he said: "The people who walked in darkness saw a great light, and the who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, light shined upon them" (Isaiah 9:2).
Six hundred years later (AD 600), when Jesus spoke to the people again, he said: "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will never walk in darkness, but he will have the light of life." (John 8:12). If I am in the world, I am the light of the world." (9:5). If we say that we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:6,7). The psalmist says: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105). Then Jesus said to his disciples: "You are the light of the world. A city established on a mountain cannot be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it gives light to all." at home.
So, shine your light before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16). In the book of the Apocalypse, he says: "And it will be night no more. They will not need lamplight or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever." (Revelation 22:5). The Apostle Paul told the Corinthians: "God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6).
Many more texts speak of Jesus as the Light in the New Testament.
Through the Prophet Isaiah, God said that he would make the people of Israel a light to the nations when he said: "I will make you a light to the nations, so that my salvation may reach the ends of the earth." (Isaiah 49:6).
Approximately six hundred years later (600 AD), that Light, prophesied by Isaiah, had its fulfillment in Matthew when he said: "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, Way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, the people settled in darkness saw a great Light, and the Light shone on those who were settled in the region of the shadow of death (Matthew 4:15,16); and in Isaiah (7:14-AMP) it says: "Therefore the Lord himself will give you sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call his name Immanuel (God with us)." (Isaiah 7: 14) "A light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory to your people Israel" (Luke 2:32).
After braking the first tablets of the Law in a fit of anger because the their idolatry, Moses goes again to the top of the mountain with two with two polished stones. God Himself wrote the Law in the polished tablets, and Moses came down the Mountain and his face shines to the point that the people coiuld hardly look direct to his face. (Exodus 34:29-35).
29 Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two stone writings in his hand. He did not know that the skin of his face was shining because of his speaking with the Lord. 30 When Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, they saw that the skin of his face was shining. They were afraid to come near him. 31 But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the people returned to him. And Moses spoke to them. 32 After this all the people of Israel came near. Moses told them to do all the Lord had said to him on Mount Sinai. 33 When Moses had finished speaking with them, he covered his face with a piece of cloth. 34 But whenever Moses went before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take off the face covering until he came out. Then he would tell the people of Israel what the Lord had said for them to do. 35 The people of Israel saw that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would put the covering over his face again until he went in to speak with the Lord.
When Jesus came He said to the his disciples: 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:14:-16).
