May the light that shone in Bethlehem shine in our hearts on these days of Christmas.
There is an analogy, a similarity between
Einstein's theory of light (wave-particle) and the nature (Spirit-matter) of
the true Light, God. In (1 John 1:5) he says: "God is light,"; and in
(John 4:24) he says, "God is Spirit." Just like Einstein's natural
light wave (cannot be seen), God, Spirit, cannot be seen either. "No one
has seen God at any time (John 1:18).
The Prophet Isaiah shows the condition of
the people of Israel, plunged into the darkness of sin and ignorance due to
their turning away from Jehovah, their God. "And they will pass through
the land weary and hungry, and it will come to pass, be hungry, they will be
angry and curse their king and their God, lifting their faces high. And they
will look at the earth, behold tribulation and darkness, darkness and anguish;
and they will be plunged into darkness. (Isaiah 8:21,22).
In the next chapter (9: 1,2), his prophecy
points to the time of Jesus in the New Testament. The Prophet, enlightened with
the light of the prophetic Word, says: "But there will not always be
darkness for the one who is now in anguish, such as the affliction that came to
her at the time that lightly touched the land of Zebulun and the land of Zebulon
for the first time. This is because of Naphtali; in the end, the road to the
sea will fill with glory, on that side of the Jordan, in Galilee of the
Gentiles.
Six hundred years after Isaiah's prophecy, John
saw that light, Jesus, the Word (Spirit, analogous to the wave of light in
Einstein's theory, could not be seen). Instead, he was made flesh (particle; matter can be
seen), "...and dwelt among us (and we saw his glory, glory as of the only
begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. (John 1:9,14).
Matthew saw it too, just as the Prophet
Isaiah had prophesied six hundred years before and said: "Land of Zebulun
and land of Naphtali, Way of the sea, on the other side of the Jordan, Galilee
of the Gentiles; The people sitting in darkness saw a great light, and a light
shone on those who dwelt in the region of the shadow of death." (Matthew
4:15,16).
Before the Star appeared, the angels sang,
and the shepherds arrived, Isaiah publicly announced the light that would
illuminate the people walking in darkness. So let us hope that this Christmas,
that light of the world, which descended from heaven, lights up in the hearts
of those who still dwell in the region of shadow and death, and its light
shines and enlightens all those who are in the house."
