The Language of Our Neurons

The Language of Our Neurons

Neurons communicate with each other through small electrical and bio-electrical impulses that can be measured. We call these brain waves. These waves have different types of frequencies, some are faster and others are slower. If they are separated through filters, we can observe them more clearly.

For them, we must perform an Electroencephalogram (EEG) recording the electrical activity of the brain through sensors placed on the scalp that allows these electrical potentials to be seen in the form of waves.

The frequency of brain waves is measured in cycles per second or Hertz (Hz). The electric current in Europe has a frequency of 50 Hz, that is, every second has 50 cycles.

Brain waves are a direct reflection of the function of the Central Nervous System.
Our brain activity and our daily experiences are inseparable from this activity. So if we are relaxed, calm, optimistic, or positively excited by the presence of good friends, we will have a composition of waves that could vary greatly. If, on the contrary, we are anxious, depressed, irritable, impulsive, with insomnia, or with a constant feeling of loneliness and abandonment an excess of Beta-3 fast waves may be subject to a state of frequent anxiety with an inability to feel relaxed.

What happens when there is an imbalance in the brain waves?

If the Central Nervous System has an imbalance, it will be possible to observe that these waves are altered and this will be reflected in the brain map or QEEG. The imbalance leads to discomfort and even pathology that will affect the quality of life. The brain map will give information on the proportion of these waves, the speed of conduction, and the intensity of communication. If the aforementioned is not well-regulated the Word of God is a great help since the brain will seek to self-regulate itself without the help of drugs that create addiction. Among many others, Christian teachings, taken from the Bible, includes the fruits of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23 - ESV which says: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law." Each of these emotions triggers a reaction in a specific area of your brain and by the descending efferent pathways brings happiness and a sense of security to the individual who practices it in their daily lives.

The Neuroscience says: “Neurons work like a solar panel, converting light into electricity and the cell converts it into bioelectricity to communicate with each other through synapses.”

To produce electricity and interact with each one, your body's cell uses a mechanism called the "sodium-potassium gate." When the body needs to send a message from one point to the other, the cell opens the floodgate, and sodium and potassium ions can move freely in and out of the cell. Negatively charged potassium leaves the cell and positively charged sodium ions enter the cell. The result is a change in the concentrations of both substances and creates electrical charges. This generates a kind of "electric spark”

This spark causes the next cell to do the same ... and the next ... so on, like an exceptionally low voltage electrical storm ... and all this because your brain ordered you to move a finger, look at a place ... or simply your heart was readying to give another heartbeat.

Each thought, emotion, or action triggers a reaction in a specific area of your brain. You are happy? Sad? In love? There goes an electrical storm in your body, and your brain! Modern imaging technology allows us to see the intricate dance of energy in the brain, which accompanies every thought and feeling.

The Scriptures urge us to always be joyful in the Lord, no matter the vicissitudes in life that may sadden us, there will always be a source of comfort that will make us at peace and tranquility. "Although the produce of the olive tree is lacking, and the fields do not give maintenance, and the sheep are removed from the fold, and there are no cows in the corrals; yet I will rejoice in Jehovah and rejoice in the God of my salvation."  (Habakkuk (3:17-18).

Neurophysiologic Verification Experiment of Spiritual Worship - from my book, Christianity and Quantum Physics, Chapter XIII

As a prerequisite for my doctoral degree, on the 1st day of July 2017, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, we carried out a  brain-mind study on two subjects. Like those 120 people gathered in The High Room on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2), they were worshipping with us "unanimously together" and meditating on the Word of God.

In the tracings of Subject #2, the activation of auditory zones was recurrent because of listening to songs of adoration while she, along with us, also worshiped the Lord in Spirit and in truth. At the beginning of the songs, "Halleluya" and "Your fidelity is Great", (Plots I and II in Annexes III and IV) in the tracing of Subject #2 gamma waves, we observe the activation of said waves. The melody vibration of the sublime songs of adoration to the Creator, accompanied by the musical instruments in perfect harmony, is reflected in the strokes of the encephalogram, constant activation of the brain waves. Chanting and music produced great activity of "gamma" waves in Subjet's brain, producing a spiritual state of mind, linked to the segregation of adrenaline and cortisol, like that of the 120 on the day of Pentecost, mentioned above.

Gamma Waves

They are the fastest waves and the most powerful energy in the universe. They occur in short bursts. They are related to the process of simultaneous information in several areas of the Central Nervous System.

Gamma wave bursts are observed when the brain is in a high-resolution state. (Example during the calculation of a mathematical formula). They are also observed in states of spirituality, feelings of altruism, love, or other states of virtuality. Gamma modulates perceptions and consciousness and disappears during anesthesia.

Usually, when a person listens to this type of worship or praise music, which is pleasant and meaningful, both the right and left hemispheres tend to synchronize so that the deeper areas of the brain keep these memories that are easy to consolidate. Genes thus epigenetically marked by the sublime music of worship and praise, are activated and read and express the information of similar past experiences. Therefore, the experience the person is having becomes a deep memory as if he were living the experience for the first time, he lived it.

Limbic system vs. Cerebral Cortex

In the Neurophysiologic Verification Experiment of Spiritual Worship, the brain's waves are activated by the energy that comes from above, from the Universe, from God (God is Light), analogous to the gamma rays, energy. Cortex's neurons work like a solar panel, converting the gamma rays and the hydrogen? into electricity. and the cell converts it into bioelectricity to communicate with each other the message through neurotransmitters.

The cerebral Cortex

The cerebral cortex, collectively, is responsible for the higher-level processes of the human brain, including language, memory, reasoning, thought, learning, decision-making, emotion, intelligence, and personality.

The Limbic System

On the other hand, the limbic system is the emotional and instinctive center of the brain. In various schools of Psychology, during the 20th century, it has been considered that the limbic system corresponded to the location of the so-called subconscious, while the areas of the cortex or cerebral cortex correspond to consciousness. The activities of human thought almost always, or perhaps always, involve the activity of the entire central nervous system. Although, certainly, the most elaborate processing (intellectual-cognitive-reflexive) can only be carried out by cortical areas located in the prefrontal frontal cortical zone, while emotions or instincts have a "relay" or main processing area in the limbic system.

Man's tragic condition

The book of Genesis says that God created mankind, in his image and his likeness. Romans 1:21-23 says: For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, (God communicated with man through his cerebral cortex's receptor neurons) but in the disobedience, to God's laws he became disconnected with the pure and higher energy, (The  Spirit of God, and his guidance). They became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

The most elaborate processing (intellectual-cognitive-reflexive) can only be carried out in the cortical areas located in the prefrontal frontal cortical zone, while emotions or instincts (almost always transformed, mainly through neocortical areas, in human drives have a "relay" or main processing area in the limbic system. These processes can be classified into two types:

Afferent and Efferent movements

Afferent is a term used in anatomy and physiology to designate those ascending pathways and structures that intervene with the function of carrying sensitive information to higher centers, and that come from the environment or periphery to the limbic system. Therefore, they have contact with the sensory receptors present in the organism.
The Efferent pathways, through the specialized neurons that are part of their composition, serve as a bridge, through which motor information descending from the cerebral cortex and the brainstem travels to the parts of the body that are responsible for controlling movement, gravity, muscle tone, visual and spatial reflexes, locomotion, postural control, and part of the control of the respiratory system and circulation.
Moses' two ascents and descents to  Mount Sinai
Moses, "The leader of Israel," appears in Michelangelo's sculpture, seated with the Tables of the Law under his arm while his other hand is on his lower abdomen. This representation of Moses projected him when he came down from Mount Sinai the first time he received the Law. After hearing the Words of God telling him to go down because the people he brought out of the land of Egypt had corrupted themselves, he went down to the valley. Moses found them in an orgy worshipping a golden calf image they had made for themselves, honoring it, offering sacrifices to it, and saying, to Israel, that they were their gods that brought them out of the land of Egypt. Moses'anger burned hot. (Exodus 32).
At this crucial moment, Michelangelo imagined Moses as he sculptured him, with his limbic system activated and full of anger, disappointment, and frustration. His head is turned, concentrated in an expression of tremendous tension reflected in the robust constitution of his musculature tense up. His attention narrows and becomes locked onto the target of his anger. The blood flows and swells his veins. Inside his brain, neurotransmitter chemicals known as catecholamines are released, causing him to experience a burst of energy. This burst of energy is behind his angry desire to take immediate action. At the same time, his heart rate accelerates, his blood pressure rises, and his rate of breathing increases. His face flushed as increased blood flow entered his limbs and extremities in preparation for physical action. Soon he can pay attention to nothing else. Then, in quick succession, additional brain neurotransmitters and hormones (among them adrenaline and noradrenaline) are released, which trigger a lasting state of arousal. Now Moses is about to lose control, which leads him to experience an –   intermittent explosive disorder – a sudden episode with the animal's impulsive, aggressive, and violent behavior that impelled him to react with too much exaggeration to the point of smashing the tablets of the Law against the ground and breaking them into pieces.
When Moses returned the second time from the Mountain Sinai, his face was glowing with the brightness of the Mighty Presence of God reflected in his face. His cerebral cortex was activated by the presence of  God.  The Efferent pathways, through the specialized neurons that are part of their composition, served as a bridge, through which motor information descended from the cerebral cortex and the brainstem traveled to the parts of the body that are responsible for controlling movement and Moses bowed and worshipped God.
Now Moses instead of being guided by the "limbic System's unconscious reactions", hate, rage, strife, enmity, and envy represented by Michelangelo's (two horns terribilita), now Moises comes down the Mount with his face glowing with the "fruit of the Spirit" that is love, joy, peace, patience,  kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23 - ESV).
As (2 Samuel 22:13-NIV) says: "Out of the brightness before Him coals of fire flamed forth." Moses had asked God for repentance and pardon, for himself and for his people. He had bowed to the ground and worshipped God.

Efferent - The efferent or descending pathways are elements that are part of the spinal cord, and that is responsible for sending motor information that comes from both the cerebral cortex and the brainstem.
