Jews - For 2,000 years, Jews have rejected Christianity. Because? The Jews do not accept Jesus as their Messiah because:– Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies. Jesus fulfilled numerous Old Testament prophecies about his coming as the Messiah. These prophecies, recorded in the Hebrew Scriptures, pointed to God's purpose of bringing salvation to humanity through His Anointed One. Next, he presents some of the messianic prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus:
Descendant of Adam and Eve:
Prophecy: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your descendants and her descendants; she is she will bruise your head, and you will bruise her heel” (Genesis 3:15).
Fulfillment: Jesus is a descendant of Adam and defeated evil powers on the cross (Luke 3:38; Colossians 2:15).
Descendant of Abraham:
Prophecy: “In you all the nations of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 18:18).
Fulfillment: Jesus is a descendant of Abraham (Matthew 1:1).
Descendant of Isaac:
Prophecy: “I will confirm my covenant with him as a perpetual covenant for his descendants after him” (Genesis 17:9).
Fulfillment: Jesus is a descendant of Isaac (Luke 3:34).
Jacob's descendant:
Prophecy: “A star will come out of Jacob, a scepter will rise from Israel” (Numbers 24:17).
Fulfillment: Jesus is a descendant of Jacob (Luke 3:34).
Descendant of the tribe of Judah:
Prophecy: “The scepter will not be taken away from Judah, nor the rod of authority from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and the people will obey him” (Genesis 49:10).
Fulfillment: Jesus is a descendant of Judah (Luke 3:33).
Birth in Bethlehem:
Prophecy: “From you will come me one who will be the ruler of Israel, whose origin is ancient from the days of eternity” (Micah 5:2).
Fulfillment: Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea (Matthew 2:1).
Would be born of a Virgin:
Prophecy: “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).
Fulfillment: Jesus was born of the virgin Mary by the work of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:35).
These amazing prophecies clearly point to Jesus as the true Messiah and Savior. His life, death and resurrection perfectly fulfill the divine promises.

Christianity contradicts Jewish theology.– Jesus did not meet the requirements of Messiah. – The Bible verses referring to “Jesus” are incorrect translations.– Jewish belief is based on a national revelation. It is important to understand why Jews do not believe in Jesus. The purpose is not to disparage other religions but to raise and clarify the Jewish position. The more information there is to choose from, the better people can decide about their spiritual lives.
