Jesus said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life" - Jesus as the Tabernacle of God on Earth
JESUS, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD ON EARTH - THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE
In John 10:9, Jesus says, "I am the
door; whoever enters through me will be saved; and he will go in and out and
find pasture."
Every prophecy in the Old Testament points
to Jesus, the Tabernacle of God on earth. That is why the Biblical text says:
“I Am “The Way”, “The Truth”, and “The Life” and no one comes to the Father
except through Me.” (John 14:6).
THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP (THE WAY)
"Truly, truly I say to you, the one
who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but he climbs up
some other way, he is a thief and a robber. But the one who enters through the
door is a shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep
listen to his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
When he puts all his own sheep outside him, he goes ahead of them, and the
sheep follow him because they know his voice. However, a stranger they simply
will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of
strangers." Jesus told them this figure of speech, but they did not
understand what the things He was saying to them meant.
THE DOOR AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE HOLY
PLACE (THE DOOR OF TRUTH)
The other door at the Holy Place entrance
is called: "The door of Truth." The priest's entrance to the Holy
Place is here to light the Menorah. The Menorah is a seven-branched candelabrum
used in Judaism to symbolize divine light and wisdom. It is analogous to the
illumination that the initiate obtains; When he lights the Menorah, everything
is illuminated, free of shadows that hinder seeing things as they are. That is
why the Gate at the entrance to the Holy Place enclosure is called the "Gate
of Truth," where there are no shadows or variation.
THE DOOR AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE HOLY OF
HOLIES (THE DOOR OF LIFE)
The High Priest entered this room only once
a year, but not before going through an extreme purification process. So much
so, that to the High Priest before entering the premises, Holy of Holies, a
rope was tied to him whose end was outside the enclosure, and his priestly
tunic had bells which rang while the priest was moving. If the priests do not
hear the bells for a while, the priests in charge pull the rope and when there
is no response, they pull it until they take the corpse out of the enclosure.
Who
may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your presence on your holy
hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth
from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip, harm their neighbors, or speak
evil of their friends. Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the
faithful followers of the LORD, and keep their promises even when it hurts.
Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie
about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.” (Psalm 15:1-5).
