THE NEOCORTEX, THE ASTROCYTES, AND THEIR FUNCTION
The Three Great Ages
Primitive Times: In
Primitive Times, Society is a community, and nothing bothers the man who
vegetates in the pastoral and nomadic life with which all civilizations
begin and which is conducive to solitary contemplations and whimsical
fantasies.
Reptilian brain
Man’s brain in these primitive
times is a reactive, action brain in charge of controlling muscles and
balance. Regulates vegetative or unconscious functions such as heartbeat,
digestion, or breathing. Its operation is instinctive or automatic, so it is the
most basic. It is responsible for the physiological changes the body needs for survival.
Ancient Times:
When ancient
civilizations abandoned hunting and gathering and began organizing themselves, agriculture was how such organizations developed. Thus, from the division of labor, which allowed citizens to
dedicate themselves to different productive tasks in their day-to-day lives, to
the very supply of civilizations, which allowed their subsistence, all of this,
as well as much more, is linked to the emergence of agriculture. It is in this period
where primitive times and ancient times overlap with each other. The man of
primitive times is the cattle herder who depends on rain and green pastures for
the well-being of his cattle. On the other hand, the man of ancient times is the
man who, depend on agriculture where he obtains the products for his
subsistence.
The dual (good-evil) Brain
Although
there were thousands of religious practices and experiences, all of them were
summed up in these two aspects, gods of heaven and gods of the earth. The
religious experience is not the same for those who worship abstract heavenly
gods and those who worship earthly gods. Those who worship earthly gods can
see and perceive their gods with their five senses in the immediate reality and
participate in the bread, wine, and cereals the earth provides
them. The idea of visual omniscience is adequate to the celestial being because
of the luminosity of the sky; on the contrary, the earth is opaque, dark,
gloomy at night and full of mysteries in its midst. There is a long tradition of pastoral and patriarchal civilization in the idea of a supreme celestial being, while behind mother earth is an agrarian and matriarchal
civilization. The heavenly father is the supreme being typical of nomads who
live off the products of their herds, those who depend on the pastures, and
these, in turn, depend on water, the sun, and the rain that comes from the sky.
On the other hand, mother earth is the supreme being typical of farmers who
live off the fruits of the earth, a supreme
being typical of the farmers who live off the fruits of the earth.
Cain offered the wrong
offering to the Lord. Had he known that the Law says: without
the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.
“(Hebrews 9:22).
The Transgenerational Epigenetic
Inheritance
Transgenerational epigenetic inheritance is the transmission of epigenetic markers and modifications from one generation to
multiple subsequent generations without altering the primary structure of DNA. Thus the
regulation of genes via epigenetic mechanisms can be heritable; the amount of
transcripts and proteins produced can be altered by inherited epigenetic
changes. For epigenetic marks to be heritable, however, they must occur in animal gametes. However, since plants lack a definitive germline and can
propagate, epigenetic marks in any tissue can be heritable.
Epigenetic
Epigenetics
(sometimes called epigenomics) focuses on changes in DNA that do not
involve alterations to the underlying sequence. The DNA letters and the
proteins that interact with DNA can have chemical modifications that change the
degrees to which genes are turned on and off. These changes may occur by
environmental or internal factors, as in the case of Cain. Cain, Abel, and all
subsequent generations were marked by the epigenetic marks of Adam’s fear, disobedience, and spiritual death, which led to the separation from his Creator, God. Both of
them, Abel and Cain, were born with the epigenetic stain of sin by the
Transgenerational inheritance, because as (Romans 1:21-23) says: “For although they knew God, they did not honor
him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their
thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, exchanging the immortal God's glory for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and
creeping things.”
But the environmental factor of religion changed from a pastoral one, whose supreme celestial being was Jehovah up there in heaven to an agricultural one, whose supreme terrestrial being was the gods of
the down here, earth. So, the epigenetic factor found fertile soil to
activate the gene stained by the transgenerational sin dormant in Cain’s
genome. Therefore, “God gave
them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of
their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth
about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the
Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.” (Romans 1:24-26). That transgenerational epigenetic inheritance’s
stain was so encrypted in man’s genome that the Prophet said: “Although you wash with soap and use an abundance of cleansing powder, the stain of your guilt is still before me, “declares the
Sovereign Lord.” (Jeremiah 2:22).
Just
the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse us from the stain of sin. “But if we walk in the light, as he is
in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus
his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1-7).
“With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with
burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand oil rivers? Shall I give my firstborn for my
transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love
kindness and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:6-
The hippocampus is involved in storing long-term memory, including all past knowledge and experiences. In particular, the
hippocampus plays a significant role in declarative memory, involving things that can be purposely recalled, such as facts or
events. Much of those memories are the transgenerational epigenetic inheritance from
Primitive Times traumas of genes carrying the stain of disobeying God’s
laws and all the evil things brought with it.
The Amygdala
The amygdala is involved in autonomic responses associated with fear and
hormonal secretions. Scientific studies of the amygdala have led to the
discovery of the location of neurons in the amygdala responsible for fear conditioning. Fear
conditioning is an associative learning process by which we learn through
repeated experiences to fear something. This heightened perception is deemed distressing, unable to think or act clearly
because you are extremely worried, angry, or excited by something, and memories are formed
associating the sound with unpleasantness.
“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in
the cool of
the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of
the Lord God among the
trees of the garden.” (Genesis 3:8).
The
couple in the Garden had lost the ability to think and act with the knowledge
and wisdom that the Creator made them,
and in this time of peril, they acted, and behaved like the animals the Lord entrusted
them to care for.
How many times, the man from Primitive Times, his
amygdala gets automatically active and triggered the emotion of fear by something
he saw, smelled, or heard unconsciously, associating it with a traumatic past
experience.
Post Modern Times
Science
and technology have been applied toward fostering continuing growth and
prosperity during the twenty-first century. The actual impacts of this era on
humans have yet to be fully realized. Still, its influence on what is known as the
"postmodern society" is essential as humanity continues to evolve
with its technologies and their applications in the twenty-first century.
The
Neocortex (The New Cortex)
The neocortex is the newest part of the cerebral cortex to evolve (hence the prefix neo meaning new); the other part is the allocortex. The cellular organization of the allocortex is different
from the six-layered neocortex. In humans, 90% of the cerebral cortex and 76%
of the entire brain is neocortex.
The neocortex, also called
the neopallium or the six-layered cortex, is a set of layers of
the mammalian cerebral cortex involved in higher-order brain functions such
as sensory perception, cognition, generation of motor commands, spatial reasoning, and language. In the human brain, the neocortex is the most significant part of the cerebral
cortex (the
outer layer of the cerebrum). The neocortex is the most significant part of the cerebral cortex, with the allocortex making up the rest. The
neocortex comprises six layers becoming the 7th sense of
Executive Perceptions.
In the sixth day of Creation (in God’s times, “A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.” (Psalm 90:4) – “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With
the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day”.
2 Peter 3:8 NIV). God said:
God said, “Let
the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock
and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it
was so. And God made the beasts of the earth according to
their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that
creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
“Let
us make man in our image, after our likeness”
Then
God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the livestock, all the earth, and every
creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So, God
created man in his own image; in the image of God, he created him; male
and female, he created them. And God blessed them. And
God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue
it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the
heavens, and every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 And
God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed on the
face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall
have them for food. 30 And to every beast of
the earth, every bird of the heavens, everything that creeps on the earth, and everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant
for food.” And it was so. 31, God saw everything he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening, and there
was morning, the sixth day. (Genesis 1:24-31)
Notice
that in the animal creation, God said: “Let the earth bring forth living
creatures.” But in man’s creation, God said: “Let us make man in our
image, after our likeness.
Here
is the difference in the DNA sequence between chimpanzees and Humans, just 1-7% of the difference. In the creation of man, God used the same DNA’s tiny animal
molecule and codified neurophysiological support containing all the information
of His image and likeness – the neocortex.
The man was expelled from this “Garden” the day he disobeyed God’s Supreme Law and
became like the animals that earth brought forth, behaving by their limbic unconscious
impulses. Not by his neocortex, involved in higher-order brain functions such
as sensory perception, cognition, generation of motor commands, spatial reasoning, and language, among others.
(Next blog – The Neocortex, the Astrocytes and its functions. – It would be interesting to conduct a “Neurophysiologic Verification Experiment of Spiritual Worship”
In the instructions given to Subject #1, it included that he keeps his meditation on the sublime things of the Spirit of the living God and the Power of the Spirit of God and in prayer, not in the meditations like of the Eastern religions of "yoga", centered on the self, without transcendence or essence whatsoever. With great expectation, we observed that the activation of Alpha waves was constantly reflected in the lines. These waves are usually compatible with mental states where the border of the conscious with the unconscious coincides. It is a state where meditation on matters of spiritual transcendence, the process of prayer, and inner relaxation, has ample place. Also, because many areas of the brain are synchronized, states compatible with the feeling of absolute peace are produced. This is in harmony with the type of activity that was done when the participant was worshiping in spirit indeed.
In these waves, a high synchronization of the cerebral cortex is reflected, which translates into an incredibly special cerebral state, because it allows us to continue having a conscious activity at the level of thought; that is, be fully in control of this activity. Meanwhile, on the other hand, it allows us to access the information that lies in the unconscious state.
Traces of the
Encephalogram to Subject #2
In the tracings of Subject
#2… the activation of auditory zones was recurrent because of listening to
songs of adoration while she, along with us, also worshiped God. At the
beginning of the songs "Halleluya" and "Your fidelity is
Great", (Plots I and II in Annexes III and IV). In the tracing of ‘’’
gamma waves, we observe the activation of said waves. The melody vibration of
the sublime songs of adoration to the Creator, accompanied by the musical
instruments in perfect harmony, is reflected in the strokes of …encephalogram,
constant activation of the brain waves as an earthquake occurs.
Chanting and music produced great activity of "gamma" waves in …brain,
producing a spiritual state of mind linked to the segregation of adrenaline
and cortisol, similar to that of the 120 on the day of Pentecost, mentioned
above.
There
are about 2.4
billion Christians around the world. The only person that
can reach those people is Elon Musk. That is if he is willing to be in charge
of assembling the personnel conducting such an experiment and have
its copyright. All those personnel should be “born again Christians” who
believe in Pentecost because that is what the experiment will look for: the effects of the Holy Spirit on the neocortex and the astrocytes. “
The Bible says that God is Light (fire), “This is the message we have
heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness.”
(John 1:1:5).
John the
Baptist said: ”I baptize you
with water for repentance. But the one who comes after me is mightier than I. I
am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit
and fire” (Mathew 3:11) – (So, the Holy Spirit is Fire).
“When the day of
Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly, there came from heaven a
sound like a mighty rushing wind, filling the entire house
where they were sitting. And
divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested[a] on
each one. And they were all filled with the
Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave
them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4).
While in the Garden, the couple heard the Lord’s footsteps (analogous
to the weak signal of an AM radio wave); here in Pentecost, God wants to dwell inside
man, as His temple.
Now God visits a man in the vital force of the electromagnetic
spectrum. “A sound, not like the weak sound of footsteps walking in the Garden like
an AM radio wave, but like a mighty rushing wind, that filled the entire house
where they were sitting.”
Tongues
of fire (like the strong force, “X Rays” or “Gamma Rays” of the
electromagnetic spectrum appeared to them and rested on each one of them over
their heads.
They were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and Fire, and (when the Holy Spirit and Fire activated the parietal lobe) they began to
speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The parietal lobe is a part of the brain involved in many functions, including sensation and perception, spatial awareness, and sensory information. The left parietal lobe has been proposed as a significant
language area.
